This has been on my mind for a while now, so I thought I'd tell the world. I propose that new dungeons could be added to the game with the edition of holes/gaps in them.

Here are examples:

Falling down one of these gaps would be lethal. If you start to go off screen but jump back up in time, you would survive. No traps could be placed in the off screen areas.

I feel this would add an element of variety to otherwise plain dungeons that could in the future be added to the game. (Although more platform dungeons would be my first choice).

Feedback?

I like the idea, though I think dungeons with those gaps would be way stronger than the current ones. True, at the moment I consider some dungeon layouts better than other ones, but this would be on a new level.

Yeah, I think the same. What I like the most about some dungeons, is that with a little creativity you can make them have sort of a "gap", means that if you go past a certain point in the dungeon you would be stuck. In my opinion more of those kind of dungeons would make more sense, since it would be up to the player how he wants to make use of the potential of his dungeon.

Yeah, but base 21 has 2 platforms and a dead end while most dungeons have neither, so it is probably the most overpowered.

And the examples I provided aren't what new dungeons added to the game would look like. The new dungeons would probably be plainer then some current dungeons to compensate for the change. Plus a gap is easier to make then a dead end.

Nice profile pic by the way.

Yeah you're right it all depends on the overall layout of the dungeon and availiable traps. I'm actually curious how this would work out in game.

And I would like to see those gap dungeons aswell as some platform dungeons added to the arcade mode with some new levels and maybe another gem mine, but that's a different story. :)

PS:

Nice profile pic by the way.

Thanks.

I really like your idea, it would be a new world for the game, but it will give more variety to the bases, altough it also seems a bit risky because of all those new posiblities.

Those gaps look nasty.

I really like how they could be a nice option to spice up some lame donut bases :)
